Christian music has been around for centuries, uniting followers of the religion with harmonies. 5678 Journalist Mia Rose takes us through her favourites at the moment.
1- Grace Graber: By The Grace of God
This newly released pop song hosts a melodic tune whilst carrying an inspirational message. Grace’s voice is beautiful accompanied by the gentle piano and guitar; this song is a modern Christian classic.
2- Blessing Offor, Dolly Parton: Somebody’s Child
Country artist Dolly Parton collaborates with Grammy Award winning Christian singer Blessing Offor on this beautiful ballad, released just this week. The pair’s vocals are accompanied by a masterful piano melody. It is simple, yet sweet, and certainly conveyed an impactful message.
3- Gayle: Rejoice
Christian artist Gayle released her newest album ‘REJOICE’ in April this year. Its unique concept featuring tracks sung live by a worship group forges a spine-tingling atmosphere that must not be missed. The title track ‘Rejoice’ is my personal favourite from the album.
4-Elle Holcombe: Where can I go
Nashville born and bred Christian singer Elle Holcombe released this classic Country tune in March 2024 as part of her latest album, ‘All of My Days’. The track serves as a reminder that you never have to carry anything alone.
5- CeCe Winans: Come Jesus Come
This track serves some traditional gospel, ‘Come Jesus Come’ by Cece Winans is the second song to be released from her upcoming album, ‘More Than This’. This song, released in March, is a cry of expectation and a powerful testament of faith and perseverance.
